In heated SCR systems, manifolds and in-line connectors pose a particular challenge, because two lines always must be connected or branched: the AdBlue ^® line and the heating strands in electrically heated systems or the line of the engine cooling circuit.In double injection systems, manifolds are used to divide the AdBlue ^® into two-line strands. Connectors or intersections are used to facilitate system layout and assembly - in single- and especially in double-injection systems.

AdBlue ^® freezes below -11 °C. If SCR systems are used in regions in which such low temperatures are to be expected, the lines must be able to be heated to thaw the fluid. Where freezing is not of concern, unheated SCR lines can be used.

If the engine cooling circuit is used to heat the SCR system, the coolant lines must be permanently fixed leak-tight to the AdBlue ^® line and quick connections so that frozen AdBlue ^® defrosts quickly and safely. This is guaranteed process-safe by the VOSS line systems.

In order to meet the most stringent exhaust emission standards, it may be necessary for AdBlue ^® to be injected into the exhaust gas system at various points. For electrically heated lines, VOSS offers T-manifolds as a standard solution for branching the AdBlue ^® line. For more flexibility in system layout and assembly, VOSS has developed the quick connect system 301^EFSM, which combines the function of splitting the AdBlue ^® into two lines and functioning as an intersection, including the electrical connection. For the cooling water heating of double-injection SCR systems, VOSS develops individually tailored ready-to-install solutions.

AdBlue^® in fluid form is a prerequisite for the function of the SCR catalytic converter and therefore for the reduction of nitrogen oxides from the exhaust gas of diesel vehicles. Because AdBlue ^® freezes below -11 °C, the line in which it is carried in the vehicle must be heated. The electrical heating of this line is the proven solution, especially in passenger car applications. VOSS has been a pioneer of this technology since its inception and offers the market standard for best heating performance with its solutions.

Lines in SCR systems must be heated because frozen AdBlue^® does not work. It is important that not only the line itself but also the connection point is heated. The electrically heated version of the VOSS quick connect system 241 ^N is the best solution for line systems designed for connections according to SAE J2044.

In vehicles and mobile machines, space for units, lines, and connections is always limited. This is particularly challenging for SCR line systems, which extend from the AdBlue® tank to the exhaust gas injection point and require heating. A compact quick-connect system, with minimal space required for both the plug and the connecting profile, is therefore highly advantageous.

With the 241 quick connect system, VOSS has been offering a proven solution for connections according to SAE J2044 for many years. We serve customers who have adjusted to this standard for the connection of fuel, SCR and thermal management lines.

With the quick connect system 241^N, VOSS is dramatically expanding the possibilities of using connections in AdBlue^®, cooling water and thermal management systems according to SAE J2044. It differs from the original version of the quick connect system 241 not only in the new design for the opening mechanism.

Standard solutions (e.g. SAE and VDA) are often used to connect fuel, SCR and thermal management lines. For example, when it comes to responding to tight assembly space or assembly conditions or meeting special requirements, they quickly reach their limits. For this we have developed the quick connect system 246 ^NX, which is not only suitable for special conditions of use, but always offers the best solution.
