There is a compact device for preassembling the crane rings of ZAKO flared flanges up to an external tube diameter of 114.3 mm: the VOSS type 85.
Its two-part design comprising a mounting cylinder with a mounting head and an external hydraulic unit—makes it exceptionally space-efficient and easy to transport. For the preassembly of the ZAKO flange system, a collar ring is pressed into the tube, causing the tube to be flared by 10°. ZAKO's ingenious design principle also means that the collar ring, which serves as a tool for flaring, remains in the tube. This categorically rules out tool wear and any incorrect assembly that may creep in as a result. The system and its operation are impressively simple. The operator can view the entire assembly process and control the working speed very precisely. This means that ZAKO collar rings can be preassembled easily and securely.
