Electrically heated SCR lines
AdBlue® in fluid form is a prerequisite for the function of the SCR catalytic converter and therefore for the reduction of nitrogen oxides from the exhaust gas of diesel vehicles. Because AdBlue ® freezes below -11 °C, the line in which it is carried in the vehicle must be heated. The electrical heating of this line is the proven solution, especially in passenger car applications. VOSS has been a pioneer of this technology since its inception and offers the market standard for best heating performance with its solutions.
Efficient heating, safe thawing
The combination of the optimum guidance of the heating wire in the entire line including the quick connect system, the individually definable heating power and the measures for protection against heat loss ensure a reliable and efficient thawing of the AdBlue ®. As the optimally adapted, integrated connection, the VOSS quick connect system 241N is the best solution for line systems, which are designed for connections according to SAE J2044. VOSS quick connect system 246NX with its own connecting profile is technically equivalent and particularly space-saving. As an intersection, which connects AdBlue® and electrical lines in one step, the quick connect systems 301EFSP and 301EFSP2 are available.
Specifically, our encapsulation of electrical connections ensures process safety with a secure seal, while the use of air as an insulator between the fluid-conducting components and the outer housing effectively prevents heat loss. The use of the laser welding method ensures a cohesive connection of the tube and coupling.
