Compact installation spaces and space-saving components – The space available for hydraulic systems is becoming increasingly smaller, making the screwing systems difficult to reach for fitters. Dismantling a defective line is even more time-consuming than the actual assembly if several connections are close to each other. Because of the limited installation space, the fitter cannot reach the desired connection point with his tools. If this is the case, the fitter must dismantle the lines one after the other until he has reached the actual defective line. This process requires valuable time that the company does not have.
Until the damage is repaired, the relevant machine usually fails. Due to DGUV-113-020, hose lines must be replaced after a certain period of time. On top of that, the service life of the hose line is significantly reduced with a screw connection solution because the hose is twisted. The tension on the hose that is created by tightening the screw connection is called twisting.
