VOSS - we create future technologies
System solutions for electrified drives, connection systems for battery energy storage and hydrogen lines: without VOSS nothing works. Our fluid systems are an elementary component of the most important future technologies in the automotive sector and wherever heavy equipment is used.
In other industries, too, the brand VOSS stands for inventive spirit: our smart glove Click ID allows fitters to control their success in real time, while our electric walking aid “ello” makes life noticeably easier for older persons.
From Wipperfürth to the world
Regionally rooted, globally active: with 23 companies in 13 countries, we serve customers all over the world with innovative line and connection systems.
We have 4 sites in Germany. At our sites in Wipperfürth, Extertal, Aachen and Gründau, we drive the development of a wide range of technologies - from our core business in fluid technology to toolmaking and the e-walker.
Wipperfürth
The heart of our company is in Wipperfürth in North Rhine-Westphalia. This is where Hans Hermann Voss joined his father's dashboard factory in 1953 and, over time, built it into the international VOSS group. The company is still based here today. Every day we coordinate our international business and work on research and development of future technologies.
Wipperfürth, the oldest town in the Bergisches Land region, has a population of 21,000 and boasts 14 nurseries and more than 6 schools.
Gründau
Since 2020, the small town of Gründau in Hessen has housed VOSS Automotive Valves and Actuators, our competence center for valve technology in the field of thermal management. Here we create function-integrated systems in the field of battery temperature control for electric and hybrid vehicles, especially according to customer requirements.
With around 250 employees, located 40 kilometers east of Frankfurt, we cover the entire process chain: from the first idea, through product development to assembly of the modules. In mid-2021, we were able to expand the site with a multi-story production hall for series production.
Extertal
Milling, turning, eroding, laser welding: in Extertal in the Lippe region everything revolves around mold and tool making. With around 35 employees, VOSS Zelltechnik GmbH takes care of the development, design and manufacture of all types of tools, from standard injection molding to precision tools.
Aachen
Not least because of the RWTH university, Aachen is one of the most important innovation locations in Germany and thus the perfect place for our corporate startup VOSS healthcare. We're based near to the RWTH, surrounded by other tech companies and start-ups. That's where we developed the “ello”, an electric walking aid that makes life easier for older persons.
The Hans Hermann Voss Foundation also operates in Aachen. As a strategic partner of RWTH, we have been supporting innovative research and development projects since 2020.
We put responsibility into practice
As a foundation-run company, we have always acted as an active part of society, the environment and industry. Hans Hermann Voss was passionate about people and the progress of science. We are continuing along this path - and with the Hans Hermann Voss Foundation we are supporting numerous projects.
These include support for a scholarship program for science and technology students, as well as joint projects with the Oberbergisch district media initiative and the “Haus der Kleinforscher” (house of little researchers).

I have been a proud VOSSian since 2008. My varied work in prototype and pre-series construction has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. The exchange with colleagues from different areas inspires me to take on new challenges and find innovative solutions. At VOSS, I can present myself as a proud employee.

Why have I enjoyed going to work for over 20 years? Our logistics team masters daily tasks just as well as new challenges. We argue about things, but we also enjoy laughing together. We use mistakes as an opportunity to improve.
When I receive visitors in the prototype and pre-series construction department, I am always delighted to present a particular strength of our company, VOSS: Our enthusiasm for innovation, progress and new technological developments. It fills me with pride to be part of a company that invests in the future.
